SAFE WATER ACCESS

Our low-cost (< $8), portable, and completely energy self-sufficient water purification devices ensure water quality and safety through on-device sensors and machine learning algorithms. We've deployed 8,000 of these devices in Mwanza, Tanzania, bringing safe water access to over 40,000 people.

FOOD SECURITY

With advanced biomass technology, we've developed clean cookstoves that cost less than $4, increase energy efficiency and reduce harmful emissions by 60%. We've distributed over 20,000 of these cookstoves in Sierra Leone and India. Our vertical farm projects in Uganda have helped 2,000 young people start home based farming enterprises and work towards food security.

EMERGENCY SHELTERS

We pioneer completely energy independent collapsible "shelter kits" for people displaced from their homes due to natural disasters. Each unit can be assembled into a house for 4 people in less than 30 minutes with no specialized tools, and is nearly 7x cheaper than conventional shelters. We are building these units to provide emergency housing to survivors who lost their homes in flash floods in India and Indonesia.

Being completely volunteer run allows us to minimize our overheads and focus all our resources on environmental projects. Our research and other operating expenses are covered by our group of private donors.
